We are delighted and relieved to share the news that we are among 2700 organisations that will benefit from the latest round of the Arts Council’s Cultural Recovery Fund.
This will allow us to fully return to the things we love doing and be part of the return of live events and music education work here in Wakefield.
Solidarity to those who weren’t successful. This was a really difficult process and we’d like to thank Association of Independent Festivals for their support.
What does it mean? Well, the necessity of events, especially festivals, means we had to make announcements without being fully clear of our future. Now we know we will not only be here for the rest of the year (at least!) but we’ll be working at full capacity, with all our staff finally removed from any level of furlough and ready to work their socks off.
It doesn’t mean we can relax – it’s still going to be a tough year and we still need your support. But we know we can at least give it our absolute best shot.
