Been having a quite exciting conversation today about our Friday night event at Long Division Festival. Just need to find the right venue…
Remember, our Patreon project is still there for sign up.
Signup for 3$/£ or more and you'll be automatically entered into a competition for 2 tickets to Bluedot Festival (by 2018s prices, that's £120 and by 2018s lineup, that's to see The Flaming Lips) and the next 8 will also get a free Long Division T-shirt.
We've added a new goal to our Patreon campaign; the first 20 supporters (we already have ten) will get a free T-shirt or Tote Bag. We have a variety of designs and sizes from over the years. All were short runs of 100-200 so these are the last few available.
Our first video update is uploading to our Patreon account. Big thanks to those who have supported so far.
Remember, everyone who is a Patron from the Grassroots level up on December 30th will be automatically entered into a prize draw for Bluedot Festival tickets for their Friday. We'll probably draw the winner on Facebook Live, it'll be well exciting.
It’s the final Nostell Nights of the year! We’re dead pleased to be involved again. It’s a great night, and the house is especially beautiful at Christmas. Check out the event for all that’s happening, aswell as the unveiling of our own Christmas Tree will specially commissioned decorations.
Long Division Festival – for us it’s all about People and Places. Here is our People themed video collecting footage from 2018s festival. Support us in our 2019 campaign through our new Patreon project: https://www.patreon.com/LongDivision

We're planning big for 2019 – and we need your help to make it happen.
Today we launch our Patreon site. Patreon is used the world over. It's a twist on Crowdfunding, but instead of a one-off payment, it is about much smaller but more regular support for artists and organisations. It is also a way to develop a community and we believe that is a huge strength of what we've built here in Wakefield – all of you, and your passion for what we are trying to achieve.
It's about a festival being able to do more, whilst also giving more back.
One big project for us in 2019 will be to develop and deliver an educational programme for the young people of Wakefield. This pilot will see these young people earn a Silver Arts Award, an equivalent of a A*-C GCSE, whilst creating a stage / event in aid of a local charity as part of the festival itself.
We want to open up opportunities for young people and artists that simply don't exist in our community. Your support will help us do this all year round, rather than our energies being focused on one weekend a year.
In return, we can offer exclusive festival updates, votes on our decision making processes, Long Division Festival tickets and entry to exclusive events + a monthly prize draw exclusively to our Patrons.
Please take a look at our Patreon page and from as little as $1 a month, you can help us with our ambitious but pretty damn exciting goals.
Inside info: we’ve got some nice pieces of video heading your way this weekend, but until then, did you catch our 60 second short featuring some of our commissions from 2018? So amazing work created by some brilliant Wakefield artists.

On Saturday we'll be making a bit of announcement about our plans and vision for 2019 and how you can be directly involved in it. As ever with us, it's a bit of an experiment, a bit of a leap in the dark but we're really excited by it and can't wait to share.
As for today, we're making our Christmas decorations for our tree at Nostell NT – thanks to Julia Salts for the great laser cutting work!
