We’ve added the brilliant poetry commission by Toria Garbutt to our website. She created five brand new poems for us, set in the cafes of Wakefield and based around the people who frequent them. We’ve had more than one report of people being moved to tears.
Toria offers some great insight into her thought process here – the poems themselves will appear in our collected works book later in the year.
I had a friend recommend i go see toria at long division. Ssdly the times of her appearance at the different venues weren’t more accurate. So i didn’t manage to see her hopefully I’ll get the chance again soon.
