It’s a first for Wakefield – we are thrilled to be bringing a BBC Introducing Stage to Long Division for the first time.
BBC Music Introducing in West Yorkshire have been great supporters and have broadcast from the festival in the past but this is the first time they have had their own stage, bringing with them their pick of the hottest new acts around.
The stage will be on Wakefield precinct and free to attend. As well as offering another great stage for the festival, we love the idea of the people of Wakefield coming across this by accident whilst out doing their shopping, and then hopefully becoming more engaged in new music, our festival and the city.
