Lonely Tourist at Rockaway Beach 2024
Keeping the tempo up, but bringing in a more relaxing folk-pop vibe is/are Lonely Tourist, a singer/songwriter, duo, or a band (as the mood suits) from Scotland or Bristol
(wherever he happens to have last closed the front door).Tonight it’s duo mode, with jobbing guitarist Chris Webb (who also does strumming duties with Gaz Brookfield).
“I don’t know how we got on the bill…” says singer Paul Tierney, “but I’ll tell you what, I bought a ticket back in February… that’s why I’ve got two wristbands!”
One thing’s for sure, Paul has been honing his art for a decade now, and has won literally dozens (lol) of fans along the way… so he deserves this shot at the big time!
The set is packed with nicely observed songs… like the one for dads who still answer the phone with the last four digits of their number… then after a quick word on the weather go to get mum…
