Again this year, you can look forward to experiencing a work by Danh Vo as part of the three-year collaboration we entered into in 2023.

The internationally renowned Danish-Vietnamese artist Danh Vo will once again contribute to this year’s festival with an audience-engaging project. The work that Vo is presenting at this year’s festival also reflects his approach to art; as an artist, he believes it’s all about setting something in motion that doesn’t have a predetermined outcome. Similarly, as a part of the audience, it’s about being open to getting involved without having a particular idea of where it will lead.

Danh Vo was born in Vietnam, but at the age of four, he and his family fled the post-war chaos in a boat his father had built. They hoped to reach the United States but were instead picked up in the Pacific Ocean by a Danish container ship. The family was granted Danish citizenship and has lived in Denmark ever since. Today, Danh Vo lives and works in Berlin, Mexico City and Falster.
