This was a bad gig for them at the time if I can remember. It just didn’t work there for some reason. But then again Glastonbury is pure pop now. It’s just another v festival. Reading is the last proper place for rock bands
Gem, Andy and Ringo’s lad might be far superior musicians than Bonehead, Guiggs and Tony M. But go listen to the Southend by the Sea gig from ‘94….it’s infinitely better than this mess!
Sad to see the roles completely reversed in acquiesce noel sounding great and making Liam sound shite were as back in 95 Liam makes noel sound dreadful as was that good white room 95 being an example but glad to see Liam back on form now
Little by Little sounded WAY too fast when NGHFBs starting playing it. Now I'm used to hearing it that way and this sounds sluggish!

Too bad Noel's vocals are way too low in this mix, can't even hear him. (Sound board recording?) His playing in on fire though.
Morning glory, stop crying your heart out and Champagne supernova are a bit of a struggle. I remember the gig getting criticized at the time, looking back I think they sound under rehearsed and slow with Zak on drums.

Brutal, that Liam was 32 years old here, just like me in 2021. He looks much older than me, I look like around 24-25 years old Liam or even younger. What is really interesting, today Liam looks around his age (48), who knows… Anyway, this gig is not as bad as people talk about it sometimes. It wasn't the greatest, but in 2005-2009, there were lots of worse gigs. I think Liam was untouchable from 1994 to 1998 and very decent from 1999 to 2004, enough for Rock N' Roll. From 2005 to 2009, his voice collapsed a few times and this is why they split, or Noel quit, not because Liam's manners. Noel became the better singer, so he went solo, he had the name and he made a great solo chareer with NGHFB. At this time Liam was diagnoed with Hashmitos Disease an autoimmune Thyroid condition and he started his treatment (I assume) during his Beady Eye era and after BE split, his voice and his body had to chance to recover and he made a great come back in 2017 and his voice has its old strength and uniqueness, his tone changed though (deeper and narrowed range, but he sings very well, very enjoyable for a middle aged rock star).
Noel turning his microphone up for the ones he sings then turns up his amp to try kill liams voice. Sounds terrible and i’m a huge oasis fan
Drums and bass are aw wrong and liams pitchy as here.
