Amy Montgomery is confirmed for the main stage. “Astounding voice. Amy is a great sonic explorer in the tradition of John Martin and Janis Joplin” (BBC Northern Ireland)
Hailing for Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland, Amy Montgomery is a 19-year old singer / songwriter with the most mesmerizing vocal sound which channels the spirit of Janis Joplin and Grace Slick. Amy is nothing if not diverse in her musical approach and her bohemian lifestyle effuses all the classic hallmarks of the late 60’s beatnik culture. Her songwriting turns emotions like sadness, grief, anger, abandonment into a creative expression that highlights how vulnerability can be a gateway to self-empowerment.
