New post added at Festival Flyer - Barking Poets at The Great Escape 2024
You cant avoid listening the Barking Poets and imagining how they must have spent many a long sweaty night pogoing to The Clash down at the local school disco. The alt-punk London band wears this retro badge firmly and proudly on its sleeve like a boy scout with a merit for woodcraft. Its unreconstructed classic stuff and carries enough of a dose of originality to ensure the songs dont fall into the derivative file. https://open.spotify.com/artist/5izu4DQ0rQAuDbXpiShfx2?si=R7mK0SrHQnyHEPf7rGmgiA

New post added at Festival Flyer - Chubby Cat at The Great Escape 2024
Ireland isnt all about new snarly, rappy, or massively electro bands these days... the country continues to produce delightful voices too... its in the populations green genes. But Chubby Cat does fuse her vocal talent with some interesting nu-rock hooks, and synth-heavy backing tracks - and her lyrics dont mince words either. Joined on stage by a guitar and live drums, this singer oozes with presence and will quite rightly earn herself places at festivals and gigs on musical merit alone. https://open.spotify.com/artist/7BkztvqJQObg4NfzHxugrZ?si=lWwC5AwvQZe02RjAPlVA3Q
