We know you’re still living in the moment of #DL2017, but be prepared to rock in 2018. Download’s back and it’s going to be more metal than ever.
Year after year Download is an unforgettable experience and they couldn’t do it without you, DLers. That’s why the festival wants to let you know you don’t have long to wait to secure your tickets for next year’s festival. Keep your eye on their website and socials this week to find out when they go on sale. \m/
Disabled Access customers can also buy festival tickets, applications for PA/Carer tickets will open next year.
Charity Concierge will be on hand to carry you and your luggage to the Download campsite by shuttle bus, ensuring there’s no need for you to walk with heavy bags all the way from the car park!
Festival Republic and Child.org have worked together for years to transform the lives of thousands of children living in poverty in Africa. To be a part of this and help more children to stay healthy and receive an education, we would love you to make just a £3 donation for your ride to the campsite, 100% of which will go to Child.org. The money you have donated in the past has launched ground-breaking large-scale programmes in Kenya, which are specially designed to solve the problems these children face sustainably and for the long-term.
Can I upgrade my Arena or Day Ticket to camping 3 Day or 5 Day?

My tickets, locker or Zippo lighter hasn’t arrived. What now?
Don’t panic, please contact your ticket provider regarding your tickets. They will be able to assist tracking them or organising Box Office collection.

If you have not received an email please bring ID with you to the Zippo Encore stand and relay your email address to Zippo staff at the collection point to collect your lighter.

After months of planning and improvements, Download is only a matter of days away. We’ve finalised our line up, announced our set times and even let you know food vendors so you can plan your meals. But before you pack your things and join us at Donington, we wanted to share some behind the scenes photos of our site build – including that all important new drainage system.
We’ve added over 3,000 meters of drainage, which is quadruple the amount in previous years. An additional 1,115 metres of new ditches have also been added to take water away from the site.
Take a look at Donington Park being transformed into the home of rock.
Excited? You should be. Download our official app to have set times in your pocket and be the first to know about travel obstructions and more.
DOWNLOAD ARE BACK WITH ANOTHER EDITION OF THEIR FAN FOCUS FEATURE. IT’S NOT ONLY GREAT ALLITERATION, IT’S A CHANCE FOR THEM TO TAKE A LOOK AT THEIR LOYAL DLERS, THEIR BEST MEMORIES AND LOOK FORWARD TO THIS YEAR’S FESTIVAL. THIS WEEK, THEY’RE TAKING A LOOK AT CLAIRE’S STORY.
NAME / LOCATION / FAVOURITE IMAGE TAKEN AT DOWNLOAD
Claire Allatt and I live in Nottingham. The photo was taken just before the Boardie BBQ in 2016. My boyfriend in the white glasses, me in the middle, my friend Rosie on the left and my other great friend Kat, on the right.
HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU ATTENDED DOWNLOAD?
2017 will be my 13th year!
BEST LIVE SET YOU’VE SEEN AT DOWNLOAD?
Tool headling the Friday night in 2006. At that point I had never seen a band so perfect musically, 11 years later and only a handful of sets can even come close.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE MEMORY FROM DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL?
Last year in the NXT Arena I sat with a group of friends watching matches including Bayley and Nakamura, plus having Triple H there was just amazing and something I never thought I would get to see at Download Festival.
IF YOU COULD SUM UP YOUR DOWNLOAD EXPERIENCES IN A LYRIC, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Garbage – ‘I’m Only Happy When It Rains!’ Just kidding, it has to be Frank Turner. ‘It won’t last so be bold, choose your path, show soul, live fast and die old.’
IS THERE ANYONE YOU’VE MET AT DL WHO’S BECOME AN IMPORTANT PART OF YOUR LIFE?
I met so many of my friends because of Download, but I owe 10 years of friendship with my best friend Rosie thanks to this festival. We first met at Download 2007 and have been there for each other ever since.
TOP TIP FOR ANYONE ATTENDING DOWNLOAD FOR THE FIRST TIME?
Top top? Don’t assume you know what the weather will be like! Pack for everything, you can need both a poncho and sunscreen in the space of a few hours.
Want to be featured in an instalment of Fan Focus? Fill out your details, here and you could be in this space next week.
Join us this year at Download and create even more memories.
So you’ve got your tent, you’ve packed your sleeping bag, and you’ve set your alarm; it’s time for Download! Whether it’s your first festival or your fourteenth, phone charging always seems to be an extra angst on the weekend’s fun.
Well never fear, Music Angel Mobile Charging are on hand with two major goals in mind: to keep you topped up with power and to provide families in Africa with clean, sustainable light sources.
For just £20 you can bag yourself a Music Angel Social Power battery and an unlimited wristband, meaning you can bring back your empty battery and swap it for a full one as many times as you want!
The battery is then yours to keep forever; no deposits, no hassle. Not only will it let you stay connected at Download, but they’re also used to power reading lights in the homes of families in Rwanda.
Solar panels installed on local schools recharge the batteries, empowering the children to remain in the education system.
Find them in the Village or as you enter the Arena, and find out more here.
