REDDIT FESTIVAL NEWS What do y’all think about an Outfit based localized app @ festivals?

I made an app, but am not sure if I should continue developing it. What do you think? Here is a summary

Post your OOTD, like others’ OOTDs near you, see Top 10 OOTDs in your area, and have OOTDs reset at midninght. OOTDs are ordered closest to furthest. You can also see a hobby associated with a user, and if you long press on someone’s OOTD, you can see if they are open to interaction IRL. Here is the app listing if you want to take a closer look: [https://apps.apple.com/us/app/%C3%B3%C3%B2td/id1497395972](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/%C3%B3%C3%B2td/id1497395972)

The other idea for the long press would be: Users ordered as closest to furthest from you. When you see someone in public you can long press on their image and suggest a date. That is a array consisting of time, date, and activity. The other person can then accept or decline. There will be a lag of an hour of so before the recipient is notified because if could get awkward or dangerous if she declines while in his presence.

I’m not an expert and can’t speak to the experience of others, but I think something like this would be much more successful if it wasn’t about dating. I don’t think ladies need yet another app for men to thirst up on them constantly. Some women may go for it, but those that probably would are gonna have no problem meeting people for themselves.

That said, I think you’d get a lot of engagement if you made it just about the outfits, like a costume contest. Could even build in prizes or something. If someone sees a cool person they like in a cool outfit, hell, go shoot your shot. You’re at the same festival after all. Don’t need an app for that.

But as I said, I’m not an expert. Just my two cents

Personally, I wouldn’t use the app. I’m worried that a lot of people who are inclined to make a new daily aesthetic post about themself would tend to be narcissistic.
