Burning Man is already survival mode. Different shit, same year
Don’t people die like every year at BM? Someone died at Shambs this year too.
It’s seriously not as bad as the media is making it out to be. The veteran burners are doing fine. It’s the newbies who are struggling.
The news is overhyped
[main stream media outlets refusing to talk to attendees challenge level…… impossible ](https://youtu.be/erbn8BWKcKw?si=QCdWzKvYE_bIPyy3)
I’m in the UK and having been to Glastonbury regularly over the last twenty years. I’d say that burning man’s situation is on par with that when it rains I don’t see what the mainstream media are panicking about.
If you’ve prepaired appropriately then you should have no issue, be cool, help one another and don’t be a dick. Three simple rules for festivals and life in general.
Carnage, I say!
“The rich people who hijacked the festival are handing out birkenstocks and pto.”
A couple of guesses which type of people are struggling.
I’ve seen far worse flooding at UK festivals on a regular basis.

Lol
They left Katrina victims a good minute, surely these hippies will be there a few more days if America is consistent
Stranded 3 miles from the nearest road, oh no what will they all do ☹️☹️☹️
Did anyone hear that Extinction Rebellion tried to block access to the festival at the start of the week… and now Nature‘s blocked access in and out of the festival. I feel like there’s some irony somewhere there? Maybe XR should have gone last year
Carnage? Haha Jesus Christ guys
I was at an EDM festival years ago when a huge storm broke out. The whole place was completely flooded and they shut everything down. Couldn’t sleep in my tent because the water flooded it out. My canopy was leaking bad so I had to put a tarp up under it and slept in my free standing hammock. It was wild, you could look under the hammock and it looked like a river was flowinging underneath me and it was so high it almost touched the bottom of my hammock.
So many vendors had their merchandise ruined, bands lost electric equipment because it was all soaked. They shut the festival down and offered people partial refunds. It was a scary and insane experience. But … Not one media outlet picked up on it. It’s drizzles a bit at a hugely popular festival and it’s a state of emergency and every news outlet is milking it.
Anyone think the death is from drugs and would have happened otherwise in good weather?
Oh no, nobody gives two shits about your party that 99.9999% of the world’s population is either too poor or too busy to attend. It’s mud you’ll get through this and be able to get up votes based on your appealing empathy about how you made it through such an awful experience.
Flooded out drenched man?
If you gather that many people someone is going to die. Everyone over packs food they will be fine.

LMAO. How the fuck did someone die?
I’m confused. Why can’t they just leave?
Best possible outcome for this or any music festival
God I hope this is the end of burning man
“Flood carnage” 💀💀
Oh nooooooo….
Anyway
You just have to work with mother nature. Rain and mud, going to have to wait.
People being on schedules is generally a sure way to have problems with inclement weather. Saw it with sailing, fishing, back country travel, even regular road travel.
Mother always gets a vote and happens to be a super delegate.
You love to see it
It’s too bad burning man is nothing but a clout chasing festival now. Completely void of its original meaning and purpose.
I feel like the death was not directly because of the “flood carnage” but it’s just speculation
I talked to a buddy who went and he said it was nowhere near as bad as the news is reporting.
We also used to build remote camps on mountain passes in -50 so he might be a bit more hardened than your typical tech bro
