Alright, not sure what the prevailing opinion on destination festivals are in this sub, but I personally think they’re bullshit.
Asking people to travel a significant distance, to another country and then only offering all inclusive packages doesn’t seem to jive with the general vibes of the community. I don’t know many (if any) people who could afford this, and my friends go to multiple US festivals a year. It’s not like they even gave people a significant time to plan.
Oh well, would have traveled a significant distance in the US for this. We’ll see what happens. If I remember correctly Above & Beyond tried to do something similar and it had to get cancelled because not enough people could afford it (aka ticket sales were shit).
ugh, got myself excited for the gorge or somewhere more attainable. $1400 for 4 nights with 2 other people, no flights is the minimum price, im going to punta cana for 5 nights with flights all inclusive for $1100 the week before so seems a little crazy. also is just exactly bassnectars fest but with foreign family lineup and tbh the lineup isnt that deep, even for just FF artists. like how tf can you leave out big wild. and seems kind of short notice as well where bassnectars fest was announced 2 months before this and theyre just weeks apart.
not mad or anything about it, i know itd be magical to see odesza play while the sun sets over the riviera but just sad i cant attend. hopefully another Foreign family fest in the future in the US!

People don’t seem to get events like these. It’s an all inclusive vacation, not a $1500 Odesza concert. The music festival is the main focus of the vacation but there is more to it
