Since 2018 I make a game called Festival Tycoon and you can play the demo for free during the current Steam Game Festival!
I used to love rollercoaster tycoon. This looks really awesome! This actually looks like a fun way to learn the logistics of planning out a festival or event. Like creating a blueprint of a event you might be planning irl.
It would be cool if the game cycles thru day into night and watch your festy change in regards to the environment and atmosphere. Cough lasers cough 😀
Damn I had a similar idea to this 15 years ago. With absolutely zero idea how to make anything like this. This looks great, I don’t really know how steam works but I’d like to play.
Ok, I played your game. Went through planning and running a festival. I love it. I can’t wait for you to expand on this. Bigger maps and more items is going to be awesome. I really like the system you have in place as far as the sponsorships and booking the bands. The only thing is it’s a little tough to grasp what is needed, and the only way to test it is to run the festival. The tutorial does a good job of explaining everything, but it’s a little daunting reading through all of the text before you even get into playing it. I think an easy solution to this would be an optional interactive tutorial that explained everything as you set up your first festival, that way you get a good visual on what’s being explained.
All in all, this concept is dope. It’s unique and I can definitely see myself putting some time into it once it’s got more content.
