I stumbled across this website yesterday that [models the path to herd immunity](https://covid19-projections.com/path-to-herd-immunity/) taking into account the vaccine rollout and previous infections. It is by data scientist not an epidemiologist, but there assumptions seems reasonable. Hopefully the predictions are correct with new cases starting to bottom out in May and herd immunity by July. There are a lot of unknown variable of course such as the speed of the vaccine roll out, the total number of COVID cases and how strong natural immunity is and how long it lasts, and what the percentage we need to reach for herd immunity. If this is accurate summer shows and fall fests seem very reasonable.
But pro sports can return now? Wtf
Is 70% realistic? Between science skeptics, people without health care, people with apathy, I just think that there are a lot of people who will skip it for one reason or another
Someone had posted the link to the entire interview yesterday, and it was honestly so refreshing to watch. The overwhelming takeaway is get the damn vaccine and we will get back to normal, but beyond that Fauci had some great words for the entire performing arts industry and some ideas on how the industry can help get things back to normal faster.

I mean sure, that may be what he **wants** to happen but I can’t see it taking until the Fall for Concerts to return. I’ve got tons of friends in Florida rn and clubs are straight up packed right now even with the Pandemic at its worst. When vaccines become available to anyone who wants them and vulnerable populations like those 65+ get vaccinated, I think we’ll start seeing concerts return. Not going to be enough momentum to keep things closed by April/May
God, I hope i can get to Riot Fest this year.

People forget in the 80s he was a known liar in the medical community and who suppressed effective AIDS treatments and or potential cures and was widely demonized in the gay community because of it. All he does is move the goal post every two weeks and people treat him like mother fuckin Teresa. Me and the fest fam had underground burns and mini fests all summer last year. Its gonna get wild this one. People are over listening to these tyrants. Big ass riots OK. Concert BAD.
