Electric Zoo security being accused of some seriously invasive searches

I went one day to electric zoo, I have been to over 25 different festivals I including 3 others in nyc, and can say with 100% certainty that it is the worst operated festival I have ever seen. It’s almost like the organizers themselves hate the festival. And my phone was picked as an icing on the cake. 0/10 fuck that festival with all my heart.
Same shit happened 2-3yrs ago but kids have no attention span and it’s always a new crop. Why anyone would go there is beyond me it sounds awful.
Why people are still attending this shit stain of a festival is beyond me

This is wrong and illegal. If you feel like a search is being too invasive step away immediately and ask to speak to member of management. If they refuse, then grab the next nearest employee until someone will help you. SOMEONE there will help you, not everyone working there will “hold their hands over their ears” to avoid dealing with you. Do not allow yourself or anyone else to be treated like that. They will continue to prey on innocent victims if we don’t stand up to them and make it very apparent that what they are doing is wrong. Never allow them to abuse you, and never give up fighting for your rights.

Holy shit they CUT HER WRISTBAND?? What is this level headed facebook post I would be raging to everyone and every damn organizer of that event. How fucking dare they.
Just a heads up to anyone going to North Coast fest in Chicago this year, security acts the exact same way their. Openly it will be different this year since it is under different management but I seriously doubt it. I watched security guards tackle dudes smoking cigarette, a girl next to me screamed about her boobs being grabbed during the entry search and cops escorted her out for being belligerent. We need to call out every festival who allows security to act like authoritative assholes. Only way anything is going to change.

I mean, if you’re sexually assaulted by security, why wouldn’t you call the police on the spot? I’m not trying to play victim-blamer, but I’m not sure I’m buying it here.
Similar shit happened to me last year. My friend and I showed up a bit later in the day on day 2 of our festival weekend and I was immediately searched and questioned “just come clean and tell me you have drugs on you”..mind you I am clean and had nothing on me anyway. When I told him he is essentially barking up the wrong tree I was searched again and ending getting my subway pass taken by security..thanks bruh

This is a regular Tuesday at Central Station in Sydney.
I didn’t have any issues with security and my crew and I had blast. Dion timmer’s set was awesome. So was peekaboo and liquid stranger. Ganja white night killed it. One of the best sets I’ve seen in a while. That being said, I feel really bad for anyone who was a victim of these invasive searches.
