Bloom Heavy River Romp? Grassy, MO summer of 2012.
It was a bluegrass festival I think first and only year. It was one of the craziest festivals I’ve attended, but in a good way. They were so unprepared for the attendees, we showed up to park and set up camp and no one even checked our tickets. They just loaded our stuff onto a trailer and took us to our camp spot.
The summer was *scorching* but luckily there was a creek running through the campground.
We stayed in the creek all day and even had surprise performances by some of the festival artists in the creek.
I remember by the last day of the festival, it was a shit show. We were able to go to the beer tent and pour our own beers because the workers just quit lol. Crazy times but some I’ll never forget.
Curious if anyone else was there? I can’t find much about it but I did come across these photos if anyone wants to relive it!!!!

Ma. I would have killed to know about that one back in the day. Yonder when Jeff was in the band was the best.

I was there! Went on a fluke. It was hot and there was so much dust in the air. It was the first festival that I saw dabs and the last time I saw a bunch of bubble hash. I bought great acid from a cowardly lion and it was the first festival I brought a nitrous tank to. Thanks for the memories! I had mostly forgotten about that weekend.
The only thing I remember about the bands is Del McCoury saying “ this next one is called I’m blue and lonesome and I’m blue and lonesome too.” I was on acid but it was the funniest thing.
Mcoury’s, Yonder, HBR. Looks like fun.
Is Splitlip Rayfield still around?
I was there!! Holy hell it was a hot weekend!
Sounds like a blast. Looks like there’s a few of those sets on archive.org.
These kids today would be whining up a storm, have petitions started, act like they are suing for $100,000 each, start rumors, and cry some more
Didn’t go but big ups to all festivals with a creek running through them! Went to Meltdown in WA about 6 or 7 years ago and it was hot as hell but there was a creek you could chill in and that’s where the party was at pretty much from 10AM til 6PM. Never been so sunburnt in my life lol
I was there!
