So happy for King Gizz’s success. Biased here, of course, been a Gizzhead for a long time, but love them or hate them, there’s no denying that those dudes work insanely, ridiculously hard and put their heart and soul into every project they release. And in the realm of modern psych rock, their live shows are second to absolutely none.
On one hand, Gizz is no longer that little band, that best kept secret that just a handful of folks are “in” on and those tiny intimate club shows are probably not going to be happening much longer, but on the other hand, man oh man do they deserve the superstar blow-up they’re currently enjoying.
Since we’re on r/festivals and not r/indieheads or r/kgatlw, if you’re here and *don’t* know Gizz or where to start with them, I encourage you to check out their [Live at Bonnaroo 2022](https://kinggizzard.bandcamp.com/album/live-at-bonnaroo-22) album! It’s a pretty good primer to what they’re all about right now.
Love them both but it still blows my mind how King Gizzard are releasing triple the albums *this month* than Sky Ferreira has *ever* released
Feel like this Sky Ferreira news has been told at every festival this year. She turns up late to deliver a half-assed performance. Her songs sound good but she loses fans with how she acts when it comes to live performances.
Also god bless Gizz. Nobody is putting in the work they are and experimenting so successfully.
