  1. Killer lineup. It’s Covid insured too if it gets canceled. I would go but definitely self quarantining for 2 weeks afterwards. I believe it’s your personal right to take that risk if you want too. Definitely would not share hugs and blunts with people like I normally would.

Gotta love the name, its like they asked a couple of middle schoolers what they would name a party.

  3. JayLB says:

“The state of Missouri said it’s safe!” sounds like famous last words to me, sorry to be grim but this is so irresponsible

  4. crock_pot says:

Wow good luck to everyone who goes and everyone who comes in contact with them afterwards.

  5. I feel like describing the approval of an event that could potentially contaminate thousands of people as a “full send” was bad move by the pr department…

  6. ES1292 says:

It’s not going to happen. Lmao. They said ‘for now we are moving forward’. Like every fest that postponed until the fall, just to postpone again. Wish people would accept that festivals aren’t happening this year 🤦🏻‍♂️

  7. Not a chance. Lol. Just wait

  8. DFT is not in Missouri. It’s in La Cygne, KS which is about an hour south of Kansas City. Missouri has the fourth most relaxed quarantine/reopening plans in the nation, yet Kansas has some of the most stringent so this is interesting. As someone who actually lives here, the population around KC metro is pretty much just as divided on proper precautions.

I don’t think it’s safe to carry on. I think it’s selfish of people to come to our area from all over and then potentially travel back through KC once they spent 4 days in a cesspool of Covid. I don’t think it’s safe for the artists. Sure they are away from people during their performance, but that doesn’t take into account the traveling and close quarters with crew behind the scenes.

My personal opinion is that they’re trying to literally buy time. I get the sense that they’ve gone into significant debt with this lineup and improvement to the festival grounds due to all the excessive advertising earlier this year and the “we are carrying on!” propaganda. They want your money now so they can pay their existing debts and then get bailed out with insurance when they eventually have to cancel and offer refunds. If you have not already bought tickets, don’t. Why give them an interest free loan?

I would assume that the majority of festival-goers are younger people in the service industries. That and people worried about getting/spreading I don’t know how many people would ultimately go.

  10. I definitely won’t be attending. Doesn’t seem responsible, and I’m sure by the time September rolls around most people will see it that way.

  11. Seems pretty stupid to me, why risk it??

  12. It’s Missouri so probably happening. There’s nothing else happening there.

  13. ffllores says:

And spike in covid19 cases in October

  14. Maybe?

Everyone is gonna want to go.

  15. This is so, so, so stupid. In canada, events like this aren’t happening until a vaccine. How it should be.

  16. Sounds great now please bring a festival to the east coast

  17. Vagadude says:

As long as Hulaween happens in October. This gives me hope!

  18. shavarg0 says:

September is more than enough time away for them to still have it and not cancel it yet. The science is starting to show that Corona is not near as bad as we thought it was going to be and with protective measures things could start opening up soon.

hell by September everybody will pretty much know for a fact whether they have it, have had it, or have the antibodies. The fucking festival could make you take your temperature as you’re going through security. There are so many ways and scenarios that this could and most likely will happen.

Blind fear-mongering panic is not what we need right now. It’s just staying up-to-date with current information and not being emotional and turning into a political thing like the fucking masks.

I mean they are planning on having it. That right there should inform you all that people in positions of authority are believing that this is going to be ready by then and most healthcare and government bodies agree. And before you ask yes I work in healthcare.

  19. What’re some opinions of the festival in general? Venue, security, organization?

  20. huckness says:

Would imagine they proceed business as usual til the very end (hoping to secure as much capital ) because of it doesn’t happen have to think this ones going in the festival graveyard.

  21. Kansas City, Kansas not Missouri

  22. Any festival in 2020 is irresponsible – we’ll be lucky if we can safely have any in 2021.

  23. People are greedy. This is dumb and reckless.

  24. See5harp says:

    Still the dumbest name

  25. I still wouldn’t buy tickets until the day of…. lol seems like it has a high chance of getting canceled

  26. hexdlt says:

I’m expecting a lot of downvotes but i like this going as scheduled. The artists dont seem in danger since they are kept far from the crowd. Those who dont care about getting the virus have the option to go and those who are scared can stay home. I do hope those who go disclose they went to a concert to those people they come in contact for the following weeks.

  27. DocCaddis says:

Seems like a terrible idea. It’s predicted we’ll get a second surge of covid cases this fall. This seems really irresponsible

  28. frontrow93 says:

I dunno Woodstock was held during the flu pandemic of 68-69, look it up, no vaccine and flu is still around today. I wonder why tht was so different?

  29. Smh… some of these festival names are just getting ridiculous lately.

  30. odelljaj says:

A lot of people here have been brainwashed by the media. If you don’t live in the southern states then im sorry. We are doing great down here.
