Only one person dying is pretty impressive.
People die at Burning Man every single year, idk why this one is all over the news. I guess because of the weather?
One overdose out of 70,000 in a week is not much worse than the national average.
I’m not interested in going to burning man myself, but some of the sanctimonious glee about this years challenges is really gross. It sort remains me of of incels who scream online at women they consider to to be sluts.

I went 11 years ago with some peeps and a coworker who was my senior by almost 30 years. He really laid it all on the line out there and was going hard just living let alone the casual sayin yes to anything that came our way. He was ridiculously focused on drinking lots of water and made sure we had a shit load per person per day otherwise we for sure would’ve been in bad shape and he most certainly woulda croaked.

I’m curious on how they handled the situation since no one could get in our out. Did they like helicopter people in or just leave it there and wait for the road to be drivable before sending people in to collect the body and investigate. Sad situation for everyone involved.
