REDDIT FESTIVAL NEWS All the Videos you see of the FULL MOON PARTY in Thailand (Koh Phangan) are super cheesy. They just play stock pop music and show the host jumping on a flaming jumprope. I tried to show a more “gritty” and full in-depth exploration of the party | Enjoy DNB, techno, and Psytrance!

The Full Moon Party in Koh Phangang has been running for about 40+ years. It is the largest full moon party in the world.

The party itself is thrown in a giant bay. The bay has various bars or “stage” lined up facing the beaches, while there are plenty of restaurants and more “low-key” bars more inland away from the water. Everyone is really fucked up, trash and belligerence is a problem, however it does all add to the madness and extravaganza of the whole experience.

Little known fact, the full moon party pretty much “saved” Koh Phangan from being (for lack of better words) gentrified as what happened to Koh Samui. The beaches of Koh Samui have all been taken over by fancy resorts and expensive clubs and properties. 30 years ago, when investors where scoping Koh Phangan, they say all the hippies partying and didnt want their brands to be associated with that, so as a result it left a lot of the economy still in control of the people that live there.

Anyways, hope that explains a little about the party. If you enjoy my videos, please consider giving a subscribe! My goal is to showcase underground (party) culture around the world. Videos from India coming soon
