Latest Festival Flyer update from Ramblin’ Man Fair

Ramblin’ Man Fair 2020 STATEMENT
It is with great regret, but with a resigned air of inevitability, that Spirit of Rock have to announce the cancellation of this year’s Ramblin' Man Fair due to be held at Mote Park, Maidstone July 17-19.
We had a wonderful set of artists booked to play but the ongoing Covid-19 situation and the UK Government’s total lack of clarity surrounding mass gatherings and the newly announced quarantine period have made this a straightforward decision.
We wish to thank all the hardcore Ramblers out there who have steadfastly stood by us through this difficult time. We feel your disappointment but heartily welcome your support – there is quite simply no crowd like the Ramblin' Man crowd. You truly rule and your unstinting support humbles us.
RMF had fully investigated a possible September option for the festival and we would like to thank the great number of UK artists that offered their support to play over that period. We know who you are and we will keep you close.
It will also come as no surprise to learn that many of the artists booked for 2020 have expressed their desire to play at next year’s festival, due to be held on July 16, 17, 18 2021 at Mote Park, Maidstone, Kent.
We would like to address the refunds process. Within the next seven days all ticket holders will be receiving an email asking whether you wish to request a refund for your 2020 tickets or roll over those tickets to Ramblin’ Man Fair into 2021.
Ramblin' Man is an independent festival. It does not have the resources that a Live Nation or an AEG holds. If everyone who holds a 2020 ticket wishes to take a full refund then the 2021 festival becomes a far harder task to put on to the level that we would all wish to see. To that end we have some incentives that we would like to put forward to our Ramblers in an effort to persuade you to roll your ticket over to 2021.
All those ticket holders who roll over to 2021 will be eligible to attend an extra night of live entertainment on Thursday July 15 at no extra cost. In addition, we are aware that many of you are Early Bird ticket holders. If you already have an Early Bird ticket for 2020 then it will remain valid for 2021. Our allocation of Early Bird tickets for 2020 sold out in record time and we thank you all. As we are rolling these tickets on to 2021 we will not be issuing any further Early Bird tickets for sale, so please think about holding onto them if you are intending to be with us in 2021.
If you are a ticket holder please read through the FAQ’s below where there are detailed instructions for you to follow.
Once again – thanks for your ongoing support. We WILL see you all in 2021.
FAQs
Why has Ramblin' Man 2020 been postponed?
RMF 2020 has been postponed due to ongoing safety issues around Covid-19 in the community and the lack of clarity from UK government surrounding the schedule of the return of mass gatherings during summer 2020.
What is the new date for the re-scheduled 2021 date?
The new date for RMF will be the weekend of July 16, 17, 18 2021
I have tickets for RMF 2020, what are my options?
You have two options, which will be sent via email to the address that you used to book your tickets :
*Keep your tickets for the re-scheduled event in 2021. We really hope that you can support RMF by choosing this option.
*Request a ticket refund.
All ticket holders will be contacted via the email address used to make the original ticket purchase and invited to make their choice.
Why should I keep hold of my tickets?
Here are some benefits of keeping hold of your tickets and attending in 2021.
*All 2020 ticket holders who hold onto to their tickets will be invited to attend an exclusive extra night’s entertainment on Thursday July 15 at Mote Park. Only 2020 ticket holders who retain their tickets can attend this night.
* There will be no early bird ticket pricing in 2021. If you purchased an Early Bird ticket for 2020 then this will be honoured for the rescheduled 2021 event. There is a significant saving right there if you were thinking about attending the 2021 event.
* You will be supporting an independent, specialised music event in what is the most difficult time in the sector’s history.
*We intend to entertain our 2021 ticket holders virtually and digitally over the summer and beyond!
*If you cannot make the 2021 dates, how about a voucher for 2022?
Will the lineup for the postponed event remain the same?
Wherever possible the line up from 2020 will be repeated in 2021. Inevitably there will be changes as RMF features a large array of international artists. However, many of them have already been in touch to already secure their same positions on the bill for next year’s show.
I have decided to keep hold of my RMF 2020 tickets, what do I need to do?
Firstly thanks for supporting RMF in this way. Covid-19 has put businesses across the nation under huge financial pressure and we all really appreciate your support.
Regarding your tickets you don’t need to do anything. All ticket types bought through Eventbrite (including caravans/campervans/disabled/VIP, etc) will remain valid for the rescheduled event in 2021. We look forward to seeing you all then!
Do I need to upgrade my child tickets if being a year older they need an adult ticket?
No. For existing ticket holders it is the age that your children were at the time of the original July 2020 date that's important.
I have booked tickets with a glamping supplier, what happens to them?
All glamping bookings will be valid for 2021 should you decide to attend the rescheduled 2021 event, otherwise you can request a refund direct from Zoobell.
All things considered I would like to request a refund of my RMF 2020 tickets. How do I go about it?
We are very sorry to hear that you aren’t able to be with us in 2021. Bear us in mind for a visit in 2022.
To claim your refund simply select the ‘Refund' option on the email that will be sent to the address you used to originally book your tickets.
We will try our best to process your request within 28 days of the refund deadline.
If you want a refund, we ask that you make this request by June 1. We will not be able to process refunds after this date.
I bought tickets for a group of people, not just myself and we cannot all decide if we all wish to attend next year so can I part refund some tickets on my group booking?
Yes, you can choose to part refund on a group booking. Upon selecting ‘Refund’ option you will be directed to your original booking page and the number of tickets that you tribally ordered is still listed so you can alter that figure and claim a part refund and choose to leave an allocation to roll over to 2021. You could of course also choose to keep all the tickets in the allocation and gift them to someone else.
How long do I have to decide if I want a refund?
The deadline for refund request is June 1 2020. You must respond to your email by that time.
I have requested a refund, when will I receive the funds?
We hope to have all refunds processed by June 30. Please allow additional time for the funds to reach your accounts.
Still got a question?
If you cannot find the answer to your question above, please email us on info@ramblinmanfair.com

With tours being cancelled far forward as October, this wasn’t a surprise really. Hopefully next year then 😎
Rolling over & Ramblin on! 😎👍❤
Please everybody hold on to your tickets for 2021 don’t let the virus spoil the RMF fun !
Will be hanging on to my tickets until 2021 for sure but a quick question. We had Saturday/Sunday tickets only for this year, do they roll over to Saturday/Sunday 2021 only? Or do we get the extra Thursday 15th in 2021 as well? And what about Friday 16th 2021 if we decided to come down for 15th, would we pay extra for the 16th? cheers Amanda
Never expected anything else sadly, but looking forward 2021
Gummi, now that the Assembly has been cancelled we can go to Ramblin Man!
Ah i won’t be celebrating my birthday there anymore. Shame
We appreciate you had to wait to make this announcement until you had formal confirmation of the social situation in July. Thanks for using the time to produce such a comprehensive post. I don’t think there’s a question you’ve not answered! Nice one. Accommodation sorted for next year. See you then 👍🤘
F**k 2020 😕
Right decision finally but as The Open Golf rearranged for that weekend a month ago couldn’t RMF have moved it back a week later in July to alleviate the accommodation clash????🤔
Gutted but can’t say I’m at all surprised to be fair (no pun intended). We all expected this to happen. At the end of the day, everyone’s safety is all that’s important with what’s going on right now. Sounds promising re the line-up signing up for next year’s RMF. Count me (& my Brother) in for next year.
Stay safe everyone….& keep rocking.
Best wishes for 2021 & hope everyone rolls over and supports independent festivals
We’ll be holding on to our tickets for next year, can’t wait for RMF 2021 bring it on 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I’ve tried where possible to hold onto all of my tickets for postponed gigs but sadly for this one I can’t and will ask for a refund. That said, if circumstances allow I’ll certainly buy for next year nearer the time, just can’t pin it down by June 1st.
See you all in 2021, stay well. Love to you all. It will be a long winter but worth the wait ♥️
Disappointing but inevitable – roll on 2021 🤘
gutted
Been with you since day one and will still be with you next year. Bring it on! 🤘🏼🎶💜 xx
Disappointed but not surprised but definitely rolling over tho next year! I was just wondering if you had already created any merchandise for this year? I’d be up for buying a t-shirt to show my support? Alternatively a ‘Ramblers in Lockdown’ (or similar) t-shirt to show our support would definitely be a cool option. 👍🏻😁👍🏻😁
See u in 2021 😉
Can you confirm it’s a 3rd party that’s handling the choice to keep/refund? Email say’s it’s from you but actually from some place called tixel.io. Thanks
Clearly inevitable but still gutted, however what a fest 2021 will be!!🤘
Sadly I am having to go for a refund as the next year dates conflicts with work. Still any change I can rebook.😀
Can I just check my email says my order was £459.28 but it was £526.24.
Does it cover camping and car park as well.
For everyone wanting a refund for Ramblin’ Man. Be advised it defaults to 90% and is clearly stated as such. You need to move the slider up to 100% should you not wish to make a contribution to the organisers.
Hi Ramblin Man. Havrctolled my tickets till next year. Will we get a new email with the new dates tickets on? Thanks xx
Can I clarifi that a company called Tixel are dealing with the ticket refunds/ rollover?
One of my absolute favs! Gutted but also completely understandable. See you in 2021!
I’m keeping my ticket 👍🍻🍻 ramble on next year. Best festival ever
See you in 2021 RMF🤘x
I’ll be there in 2021 – already looking forward to it!
I did think it was almost inevitable but we now have something brilliant to look forward to for next year, it would have been sacrilege if we had of lost what is without doubt the best open air rock festival in the uk. Well done RMF team for keeping the dream alive.
Disappointing news but we’re right behind you guys and will be Ramblin’ on with you with our tickets in 2021 ❤🤘🏼
Definitely keeping my tickets and looking forward to next year hopefully most of the same bands but I know it will be the nutz whatever stay safe everyone and keep rocking 😎🤘
It’s been hard enough staying safe and sane during this most unprecedented nonsense but having to deal with this on top must have been unbearable. Thanks to all the RMF team. See you next year.
2021, bring it on!! Yes, we are all gutted but after this covid sh#t is all over we are gonna have one hell of a party. Now RMF is where its at🤘
Unfortunately this was inevitable with the current situation. Bit of a no brainer rolling over the tickets for 2021. Look forward to seeing you all then. Thanks to RMF for trying your best to put on something this year, nothing came if it but your efforts are appreciated. 😁
A massive, but inevitable shame. But it’s definitely for the best. I have been going since its debut, and its only getting better and better. Looking forward to rambling on down next year, Keep ramblin on, and stay safe.
It was inevitable was going to happen unfortunately but all the Rock Ramblers will enjoy 2021 even more! 😎🤘👍
Next year my friend, Richard Fowkes 🤘🏼#fuckcovid19
Feel that this was the right decision today. Should these new visa requirements be passed will not help next year’s festival, sadly.
Have Lynyrd Skynyrd rebooked for next year?
Well done Ramblin Man. That’s how to cancel a festival. Whilst I’m disappointed we are in this situation, I am glad it’s now off. If you’d tried to go ahead I would have been torn between missing it (been every year) and not being willing to go and risk my health. And September wouldn’t have been any better in my opinion. Let’s hope by next year we can all relax and enjoy the festival x
Already looking forward to 2021……..
We booked two tickets with vip and posh camping they have only offered Half the amount we have paid. Someone please let me know what’s going on?
Sad but we understand. Just hope Tom Keifer and Skynyrd will return. I last saw Tom in Cinderella in the States in 89
Defo be rolling mine over.
Does anyone know our legal position for full refunds if for some reason 2021 has to be cancelled – eg the event goes bust or large events are still not allowed? Happy to roll our tickets over but would like some assurance that a year on we won’t lose the lot
