WOMAD – the World’s Festival

Since 1980, WOMAD has been bringing world music to the masses.

The event was founded by a team led by Peter Gabriel and including Martin Elbourne, and after a tough first few years has cemented itself as the premier platform for musical styles drawn from across the globe.

It’s present home of Charlton Park in Wiltshire is an annual pilgrimage for music fans who celebrate the many styles and genres represented at WOMAD.
