Six further support acts will be joining rock giants The Killers this summer for their huge sold-out London Hyde Park show.

Alongside their much-loved classics the Las Vegas group’s summer return will give fans an early glimpse of material from their hugely anticipated new album. Already on the ‘killer’ line up for 8 July are Elbow, Tears for Fears and White Lies.

Newly added to the line up of the summer are California indie rockers Cold War Kids, fresh off the back of April’s release of new album ‘L.A. Divine’.

British Sea Power have been likened to Arcade Fire and The Cure, with their intense live performances. Their latest release,’Let The Dancers Inherit the Party’, has achieved yet more critical acclaim.

Denmark natives Mew returned this year with a new album, ‘Visuals’. The band burst onto the indie scene back in 1995 with dream-like pop tunes but critics are now referring to the new album as capturing a creative peak. It’s clear the band show no signs of slowing down and will no doubt win many more fans at Hyde Park.

Indie rockers Mystery Jets are also ack after a triumphant year in support of album ‘Curve Of The Earth’, which was featured in their brilliant set at last year’s Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park. They have just been nominated for a prestigious Ivor Novello award for the song ‘Telomere’ and will be very popular returning heroes this summer.

Irish four-piece rock band The Strypes have established a loyal fan base since their formation in 2010. Citing classic bands such as The Rolling Stones and The Jam as their influences, the sharp suited youngsters will showcase their third album ‘Spitting Image’, ahead of its release in June.

Also added the bill is Australian singer-songwriter Alex Cameron. He gained cult status in recent years with his live performances, featuring his epic portrayal of a failed entertainer. Cameron released his debut solo album ‘Jumping The Shark’ last year, a synth pop gem that explores stories of tragic wannabes and failures with touching sympathy.

Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park 2017’s headline acts are: Phil Collins (30 June), Green Day (1 July), Justin Bieber (2 July), Kings Of Leon (6 July), The Killers (8 July), Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers (9 July).

Now approaching its fifth year, Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park has been host to some of the biggest and best live acts since its debut in 2013. From The Rolling Stones to Carole King, The Libertines to The Who, Kylie to Stevie Wonder, Black Sabbath to Taylor Swift, music history has been written almost night by night.
