Massive new line-up announcement from Download 2019

You thought it was a normal Monday, you thought wrong: here’s over 40 more awesome acts for Download 2019!

Halestorm, FEVER 333, Beartooth, Skid Row, Brothers Osbourne, Stone Temple Pilots, Clutch and more acts than you can shake a Download Dog’s tail at are joining you and Def Leppard, Slipknot and Tool at #DL2019. Plus, we’ve got those all important day splits for you.

Well, that dream could become a reality as the festival is also thrilled to reveal that Kerrang! Radio have launched Finding Fresh Blood to discover new and exciting talent to open the Avalanche Stage at #DL2019.

If you’re a UK act you can now upload your tracks on the Kerrang! Radio website. We’ll check out the tracks and decide who best fits the bill for Download 2019. The competition closes on 1st March and the winner will be announced in April.

40+ acts just announced for #DL2019

Grab a brew as it’s about to get serious as we run down the 40 plus brand spanking new acts just announced for Download 2019.

First up are the mighty Halestorm who’ll be making their grand return to Donington Park to rock you with break-neck riffs and Lzzy Hale’s lung-busting vocals.

Stone Temple Pilots will be making their first Download appearance with new vocalist Jeff Gutt. You know you’ll have your lighters and phones in the air for the monster hits of ‘Plush’, ‘Interstate Love Song’ and ‘Trippin’ on a Hole in a Paper Heart’.

Also, taking a step on the road back to Donington Park are hard rocking institution Clutch, who’ll be making their sixth appearance for you at the festival.

If you’re hungry for more rock, get ready for another helping as grunge rock revivalists Aaron Buchanan & the Cult Classics led by the former Heaven’s Basement frontman will be serving up riffs and anthems aplenty.

Still wanting more? Strap yourself in as we’re just getting started. Metal punks Beartooth are going to have you moshing until your legs give out in  Donington Park with their ferocious third album, Disease.

FEVER 333 literally tore the roof off of the Avalanche Stage with their unforgettable kinetic secret set at Download 2018 that and now they’re set to do it all over again as they’re coming back for you at #DL2019.

If you’re not sure what ‘fashion art rock’ you’re about to find out as hotly tipped, Las Vegas via Canada trio, Palaye Royale are going to be making their Download debut with a raw energy that rips your face off.

One of UK metal’s brightest hopes, Black Peaksare going to leave you with your Giant Yorkshire pudding hanging out your mouth as their mastery of epic riffs and masterful melody is, quite frankly, jaw-dropping. Whilst, Japanese veterans Coldrain will have you wearing off that giant yorkie as they’ll get you bouncy to their infectious punchy metalcore.

We cannot wait for you to hear a hit-filled set by legendary ‘Youth Gone Wild’ classic rockers Skid Row. Supergroup Deadland Ritual, featuring former members of Black Sabbath, Guns N’ Roses, Billy Idol and Apocalyptica, are also set for a seismic #DL2019 performance.

If country rock is more your thing you’re in luck as Brothers Osbourne will be strumming out some killer licks and boot stomping beats across Donnington Park. Whilst,  Last in Line, featuring members of the original line up of Dio, and Wolf Jaw will also be on hand to deliver some straight up, dirty rock n’ roll.

If you like your metal darker than your cup of coffee, you’re about to blow your trumpets as black metal pioneers Behemoth and At The Gateshave been added to the bill.

They’ll be joined by black metal’s darkest hope UK upstarts Conjurerwhose amalgamation of sludge, hardcore and black metal will have you headbanging at breakneck speed.

Also packing their double bass drum pedals for #DL2019 are the ominous Swedish outfit Batushka and Ne Obliviscaris. Let’s be honest, with bands like this Download 2019 is shaping up to be INTENSE.

If you like your music a bit lighter, you can jump aboard ascending pop punk rocker scene trailblazers Trash Boat, who are guaranteed to get you bouncing.

Whilst, rock radio mainstays Three Days Grace are on hand to deliver a sure to be powerful performance and Godsmack with choruses so anthemic they you grant no immunity. Plus, Bad Wolves are set to play so you can indulge your love of a 90s’ guilty pleasure with their viral cover of ‘Zombie’ by The Cranberries.

For those of you who request that their metal is delivered with laser-like precision, Animals as Leaders are going to blow your mind with their technical virtuosity. Heart Of A Coward are also returning to lay waste to the fields of Donington with new vocalist Kaan Tasan.

They are joined by tech metal instrumentalists Intervals and UK prog metallers Toska, who have quickly become an exciting force in the ever-growing scene.

Newcastle post-hardcore band GroundCulture have been grafting away, building a fierce reputation ready to take on Download, and forward-thinking visceral nu-metal act Cane Hill are also confirmed.

Download reaches far beyond the realms of Donington Park as the bill is going to take you right around the globe. We’ve got the Reputable party thrash heroes Municipal Waste, French post metal/shoegaze Alcest, and Sumo Cyco who have made waves with their fusion of rhythm and dancehall hooks and metal riffs.

Plus, flying the flag for Japan are all female power metal stars Love Bites as well as Japanese metalcore titans Crystal Lake. Australian natives Redhook, and Twelve Foot Ninja will also be making the long trip to get you moshing hard in the pits, while representing New Zealand are hard rockers Like A Storm.

Are you STILL wanting more? You got it as electronic-infused industrial duo SKYND are ready to make things so dark and creepy you’ll be scared to go back to your tent.

For purveyors of melodic, in-your-face and exhilarating hard rock, Bridgend five piece Those Damn Crows have got you covered. While, Icon For Hire have been breaking down boundaries worldwide and are ready to stamp their mark on their Download debut.

Up next are pop-punk new comers Lost In Stereo, Manchester’s hottest new band Parting Gift, and last but not least are melodic rockers Vega.
