#YoungTeam is Long Division’s education programme and today we’re launching some new strands aimed at young people struggling to engage with culture or looking for fun, music based activities to take on.

Our “Discover: Taster Sessions” are bite-size mini-projects to introduce young people to skills such as Rap, Beatboxing and percussion. They require no previous experience or instruments!

And our “Discover: The Great Wakefieldian Songbook” gifts a chordbook to young people featuring 20 songs by Wakefield musicians and presents them with the challenge of learning (at least) one of the songs for themselves – supported by video tutorials from musicians.

It’s all free and if they complete the booklet, they will earn themselves not one, but two certificates, including one from Long Division!
