We’re looking for one more band to join our ‘Amplify’ mentoring programme this summer!
The Amplify programme helps new Wakefield musicians (ages 14-18) to work with a professional mentor, make some music, and
perform at Long Division Festival in September!There will be some all-day sessions in Wakefield City Centre in August, where you will meet professional musicians, take part in workshops, share inspirations, and complete work towards a Bronze level Arts Award. Then you will rehearse weekly with the professionals to get ready for your big gig. There will also be chance to attend some live events and write reviews for the LD website.
You must be at least a duo, and be able to play your instruments to a basic level, this is not suitable for complete beginners. There will be opportunities for solo artists later in the year.
Amplify is free of charge, but we have limited places. Complete the form here and we will be in touch by email to arrange participation and parent permissions.
