We had some great news this week; we've received a small grant from the Tesco Bags Of Help programme to help develop our Songbook Tutorials into a full online package that can form an Arts Award Qualification for young people.
That'll mean sending out free digital versions of the book, videos and guidance and will cover paying for the moderation / certification for 100 young people. We love the idea of young people being inspired by the music of Wakefield and going on to create their own versions, or even their own songs.
We'll launch it in the new year, something to look forward to in 2021 (the list is growing).
