So… a year.

We’re still in the middle of this really. Next year will be a more interesting and realistic time to reflect. Although the death toll will surely be lower, the longer term effects will really be coming to light.

But it is a good time to be thankful. Surely that is to the NHS, Social Care Workers, Teachers, Scientists other important (and often forgot) front line staff across many industries such as those supplying the food chain from field to supermarket to the already over-looked third sector.

Everyone’s experience is different, but I wonder if we can look at those people and feel, yes, they are valued by our society and our current system; all is well. Or if things should change.

It’s important, as the forever out of reach new-normal baits us towards optimism, that we take this chance to ask for real change in our society. And for us to properly appreciate what we have.
