Huge congratulations to Mt. Misery whose brilliant debut album ‘Once Home, No Longer’ is out today! We’re really looking forward to catching their set at the festival on September 25th.
Initially a solo-project for Hartlepool based multi-instrumentalist Andrew Smith, Mt. Misery ‘officially’ became a band in early 2019 and quickly became firm favourites of the North East indie-pop fraternity.
With two previous EPs already under their belts supported by BBC Radio 6 Music/BBC Music Introducing and live performances sharing stages with the likes of Johnny Marr and Bill Ryder Jones, Mt. Misery spent lockdown working on the album with Kenny Gilmore (Chris Cohen, Weyes Blood, Julia Holter) and the resulting record is out now on Prefect Records, with a Rough Trade exclusive cream vinyl also available.
