Seems a good idea, just because Glastonbury can’t implement it on a huge scale doesn’t mean KC can’t on a smaller scale. Hopefully lessons learnt from the Glastonbury issues.
Some of the reactions here are over the top. Take a few quid with you but have your bank card as well then you are covered for if the machines go down. If you think using your bank card is an issue I’m assuming you don’t use it elsewhere? If it’s really an issue for you why not just get a Starling account or whatever and transfer your funds to that.
I can’t remember the last time I used cash at Kendal Calling, been using contactless for years. Never experienced issues with their payment system dropping out.
Nothing to do with cardless but I’ve messaged a few times in regards food stalls. I need to know whether gluten free is catered for as I have coeliacs disease. Thanks
I totally get this. It’s quicker, reduces queues, and rules out any quibbles over incorrect change. It also protects the business from staff skimming money out of the tills. 👍👏
