Didn’t like the new layout and where has the Jaegerhaus gone? Tried to get a root 56 from 3 different bars and none of the staff knew what it was even though it was listed on the price board.

I did miss the Jägerhaus, but the gin tent was fine compensation

Separate toilets for young families! Some of the toilets were not for children’s eyes! And as it’s advertised as ‘family friendly’ I think this would just really help! We had a fab time tho and have purchased our tickets for 2019!

Do you think you could do some boulder clearing before the event next year.. it’s a bit ironic that you have a big list of dangerous banned items but the place is covered in boulders. Absolute nightmare if you walk on them in the dark also. Cheers👍

Have a separate gate closer to the family field and sell parking tickets that let you get close to said gates, because when there is two adults and four kids that climb up is madness and when you get to the field and can see your car 300 yards down the field.

More kids portions/better advertised kids portions would be great. I paid £8 for a plate of pasta for my four year old and then realised they would have done him a half portion for £4. My fault for not asking but it’d be great if it was more obvious 🙂

Already booked for next year, but could do with better showers in the emperors field, the showers last year were getting past their best and I’m afraid to say, the same ones turned up this year, even more shabby, mouldy and slippery than they were last year, also the compost toilets could do with emptying more often. But it didn’t stop us having a fantastic time.

More toilets!!! Lowering the capacity would be awesome but I know that will never happen. At times the main stage, Calling Out and House Party were way too packed so didn’t even bother!

  9. Anonymous says:

Seperate loo’s for kids maybe, children having to wait ages isnt good and some of those toilets are certainly not fit for them to use.
A shop on Emperors field again

We were in great plains and the compost toilets were great but kept running out of sawdust plus could have been just monitored an extra time per day to keep them clean. In emporer next yr and friends said they found the same issues. Plus the showers kept running out of water. Obviously toilets in the arena were awful but we tried not to use them too much as we’d paid for the compost ones in the campsite. I think a couple of eating tents would be good too like the beer tent with tables when wet x very good otherwise can’t fault anything else really x

Elvana needs to be on main stage next year!!! Also be good to have the Kracken Bar next yr… missed it this year. Cant wait to be back in the fields!! Thanks for making KC amazing!

My first ever festival & I Loved it 😀
We never once managed to get in the glow tent the queue’s where insane, so, maybe more dance tents!
Women’s urinals (plenty peeing outside anyway)
Also Tom Grennan needed to be Main stage, he was Amazing ❤️

I filled the survey in the day after I returned from Kendal Calling and would encourage others to do the same if they haven’t already. It was my eighth time attending and while there were some really positive changes, there were a few odd quirks. I’ll be back next year to see the improvements and would like to reiterate…. Primal Scream, New Order and Johnny Marr 🤞🏻⭐️

Selling tickets for next year less than a week after this years festival. Just to grab interest on the money, there was just no need for you to do that….👎

I completed it….but changes I would like to see include..

Families Being able to park nearer to campsite/maybe a separate entrance for them. Lugging all your gear with a 3 year old is stressful!

Family camping area being family camping ONLY. It was not this year even though we were told this would be sanctioned.

More loos and water points in the family camping.

Wolf woods this year was horrific, badly littered and bad mannered. My 3 year picked up a kinder egg which he loves and it was filled with pills.

I hope the line up stays similar to the last 3 years I have attended it’s what makes this festival so special. Please get Travis though😂

No set times & running order were easily accessible for the WKD stage which made things a bit difficult when wanting to see a specific performer.

I think the glow tent could have stood to be bigger when you had such a huge act as basement jaxx on and half the festival stood outside wanting in. I guess you’re just limited with the tents you have available though.

The water on tap at the campsite seemed to be extremely chlorinated. Although this is to safely kill the bugs it isn’t particularly healthy for the body to consume overly chlorinated water.

Overall I had a great experience and the campsite facilities were well maintained.

Appreciate the ticket costs are not going to cover everything (security, loos etc) and in reality contribute towards profits, however £5.50 for a can of cold red stripe was way too much and will surely only encourage people to try and smuggle in their own booze into the arena areas. I suggest a happy hour to encourage people to visit certain areas at certain times or a loyalty card for example 1 in 10 free works both ways surely, the pieminster food was delicious and always very, very busy and selling out yet still provided the only loyalty scheme across all food vendors! 2019 will our 10th year and we spent by far the most overall this year than any other year.
If the sailor jerrys bar came back it would be amazing and did miss jaegerhouse this year! However keep up the great work we love the festival, your openness to feedback and almost all changes each year have been positive and made it better each year!

Loved every single minute of it but the constant smell of dope was a bit overpowering considering in my mind “drugs weren’t allowed”.
I’ve booked to come back next year to the emperors field thank goodness as the general admission field was like a club 18-30 nightmare

It is a festival and not a holiday camp, as far as festivals go it’s one of the most cleanest and friendliest you can get. Best thing KC could go is get rid of camping chairs after 5pm in the arena, really no need for people to stake a patch of grass for the day and cause a hindrance after dark.

More kids loos please! Kids wait until the last minute to have a Pee when they’re having fun (mine do anyway) and waiting in the massive queues in the arena made it very ‘interesting’ make them so adults can’t use them . And make the men who were lucky enough to have nice pee troughs next to the loos actually use them rather than peeing against the fence!!!! I’m only saying this because it’s one of the only improvements I can think of. It’s great. Our 6th next next year!!!!

I loved it. Cat fish & the bottlemen fist time I’ve seen or heard of this fantastic up coming band.

Had a totally amazing weekend with the family, it was my kids first festival and they described it as “the best weekend everrr” we have booked for next year. We were glad we booked Great Plains and those who feel it’s not “family orientated” need to attend something ( maybe like the Leeds festival) that really isn’t. Fill in the forms with your comments peeps I think they are interested in the feedback. At the end of the day it’s a festival not Butlins All Inclusive! See you in the fields guys!!!

  23. Anonymous says:

Pre pitched tents again with parking nearby please 😀 and a few more bins around the arena

  24. Anonymous says:

Strongbow bit was ace. Loads of benches to chill on. 😀

Maybe a few more benches or seating areas would be great

Having a 12 year old at their first festival this year, a seat in the main arena was fabulous. Esp in the rain!! We kept it up on the hill away from the main crowd. Packed away for him to dance to the libertines but it would have been a nightmare for us otherwise, while he watched ‘these old’ bands!!
Oh and I loved a chair too, would have shuddered at the thought back in my festival going youth, but now to sit, enjoy and have a beer was actually rather nice!
