🍃 The Greenbelt team is feeling connected and energised, part of a movement that is peaceful, passionate, and powerful.
🍃 We were proud to join the thousands at the Extinction Rebellion gathering in Trafalgar Square today in the face of the ban on their protest. We need the sacred and science – not silence.
🍃 We heard about Jojo Mehta's work on the #Ecocide law (#gb18 speaker). We heard from Craig Bennett, CEO of
Friends of the Earth, (#gb18 speaker). We saw Catherine Rowett MEP (#gb19 speaker).
🍃 Felt like we were standing on the shoulders of giants, in a long tradition of peaceful protest across the years and around the world – at this time to say: this beautiful Earth, our common home, is our life support system; we must act and speak out to safeguard its future.
