Latest Festival Flyer update from Greenbelt
[ad_1]
Matthew David Morris first came to Greenbelt in 2018 and he stole our hearts away. As well as having the voice of an Angel, his pastoral sensitivity and wisdom akin to Brené Brown soothed our troubled minds. We’re pretty sure he’ll do the same again at Wild at Home – as he brings our Pagoda stream to a close with his unique, devotional and prayerful blend of song and spoken word.
Now an ordained priest and a recently graduated theology masters in Oregon, Matthew David worked in the entertainment and music industries for 25 years under the stage name Matt Morris before all this, writing music for well-known artists (like Cher and Justin Timberlake), producing, and touring his own music.
As well as being a priest now, Matthew David remains an artist, a student, a cultivator of good questions, and a lover of the human heart. He identifies as a cisgender (he/him), queer, Anglo/Chicano person with personal piety not unlike the 19th century Anglican Evangelicals. What’s not to like?!
