This is by far the best song I've heard this year! It's absolute bonkers and took me to a place I'd never thought I'd reach! So glad you guys did a reaction to it! You really should check out ILLENIUM and Excision's other music! They have some really great music that's sorta like this!

Did you know that Excision and Illenium had another collab a while back?
I like I prevail, definitely have their own unique sound.
The Big Chocolate collab was (ironically) with Blessthefall.
And I say ironically, as the lead singer is married to Lights, who did the first collab with Bring Me the Horizon.
She's Canadian so she also did a song with Canadian post hardcore legends Silverstein.
AND A Day to Remember did that thing with Marshmello.

Illenium is usually more future bass which is more chill and excision is more dubstep so they kind of did one drop for each of their styles. In the music video the Trex represents excision which is the basis for all of his visuals and his music festival, los lands, and the Pheonix represents illenium, it's part of his logo.

Illenium is more on the chill side which you could pretty much say 1st drop and excision is in your face heavy which you can say is the second drop also both of the animals the Phoenix represents illenium and the trex represents excision

You know i'm a Dubstep listener and didn't expected you two to react to it and in all fairness Illenium and I Prevail killed it, I personally think Excision Didn't do much in this song, 2nd drops wasn't anything really compared to what i've seen him do since let's say 2010, when the drop started it's almost desapointing for how weak it hits me… So that's an opinion from someone who knows the topic, there's no hate being thrown it's just me whose saying my opinion and my feeling about the song

I can explain a little more detail about the chorus part, if you guys aren't used to it.
The first chorus is obviously from ILLENIUM, because he tends to make more melodic stuff than heavy stuff.
The second one is from Excision, who is way better in heavy stuff.
And the final one, in my opinion, both ILLENIUM and Excision made third drop.ILLENIUM has melodic chords, while the metal tunes of guitar is from Excision.
Litterally, I Prevail just played a role of vocalist (90% sure).
If you guys get the chance, don’t know if someone has mentioned in earlier comments or if you guys have heard of him, but there is a DJ by the name of Sullivan King. Heavily influenced by A7x being why he goes by Sullivan King but he mixes a lot of metal backing tracks and his own original metal backing tracks with his dance and dubstep tracks. Does his own screams on tracks and live and during his live performances he whips out a guitar and is typically a 7-string which actually is custom built by Schecter!! One of the few but in my opinion, the biggest bridge between metal and edm

The Phoenix is Illeniums symbol and the T-Rex is Excision. The first and third drop are largely Illenium based on how they sound and the second heavier drop is Excision based on the sound. I don’t listen to The singer but I’m a bigggg Illenium fan.
Ight look, if you want to listen to some actually heavy edm you need to get into the underground riddim scene artists like RENEGVDE, Chibs, Automhate, akeos, CODD DUBZ, CROMATIK, yakz , space ghost, etc. Im a huge edm head and I have been since 2012 and let me tell you the good edm is hidden, don’t get me wrong excision and Subtronics and big names like that are good but if you want that true grit and grime you gotta dig deep
