This video, and all of the reaction videos on this channel, transform the original material from entertainment into education. The original content that is “reacted” to is analyzed by a musician who is now disabled and uses the performance to highlight technique and further discuss all aspects of the music-making process. In addition, musical theory and style choices are also often analyzed and discussed.

While the video does use the entire song (as things such as vocal endurance and song structure must also be considered), there are many pauses. In addition, often the original content is examined to further explain the musical process. During pauses, the reactor goes into information on how sounds are produced, why or why not they are good, or if they are particularly difficult to make or play. The pauses often last a long time, so much so that this video cannot be considered a replacement for the original material. A link to the original video is always placed in the About section, and viewers are encouraged to watch it without pauses and commentary.

Please do note the total time of this video compared to how long the original song is. That should give you an impression of the lengthy commentary provided.

If you wish for further proof of the educational purpose of this channel, please look at my other videos on vocal techniques, and singer health.

  1. TW is inspiring young people around the world to pick up musical instruments and learn to play, especially little girls. Their long term impact in the music industry will be profound. Twenty or thirty years from now they will be cited as the influence for hundreds if not thousands of professional musical artists.

  2. I've now listened to these reactions to The Warning a few times and I admit at first I couldn't categorise their music (which begs the question why do we feel the need to pigeon hole music?).
It took a third time listening and watching to take me back to all the bands of the 50's and 60's – vocalists, simple harmonies, a couple of guitars and a drum kit. Super basic by today's standards. If we're being called back to a time where less is more, where artists can excel without all the Faustian drama we've come to expect, then I'm all for it.
I remember going to see the Rolling Stones in Melbourne in 1965 with Roy Orbison as the supporting act. Orbison stood there in his trademark black attire with his guitar, a mic and a single spotlight, and just sang. The silence was deafening – you could've heard a pin drop in the packed auditorium. One man with one guitar and the voice of an angel – unforgettable. When the Stones came on stage, Mick Jagger lamented, "How are we supposed to come on stage and play after THAT?" He meant it. The Stones were HUUGE at the time, but no one can remember them playing. I've met a lot of people over the years who saw the same tour, and they all said the same thing: they only remember Roy Orbison.
I feel like I've got off topic a bit. Yeah, these girls are awesome, and conclusive proof that when you are that good, you don't need anything but your own raw talent.

Geez…too much talking…just play the music

  4. The Warning “..is a phenomenal band.

  5. Good video guys, fun watching you react to the ladies rocking out. Grateful for their sound, resorted my faith in rock – takes me back to the early and mid 80's (before the hair and make up).

  6. @bportar says:

Bro the warning has 10 years on the stage. So this presentation on MTV were a piece of cake for them.🤘🤘🤘

  7. @ScottT248 says:

Nice reaction and hope you continue with this band down the rabbit hole. The video was kinda choppy but still a great reaction. Will be waiting for more from this band and your reactions.

  8. The Warning Army welcomes you to the rabbit hole!! ⚡️

  9. @LostHate says:

Go to home depot and find a original color, you can't. Everything its just new combinations in different styles, and music is the same. What ever color The Warning is I'm painting everything with it.
And to reiterate for Schmitt, it would be cool if you check out Disciple live at Teatro CDMX next and give it a vote on TCV poll. Only if you like it of course. (you will and so will E)

  10. @thh383 says:

you realy sould play more before evolve as more was there build up to there finale evolve!!……they woke MTV up!!….amazing performance…..there best yet!!
    THE WARNING rockon 2024❤❤❤

  11. when DPA/TW play MORE live, it hits harder and has a rougher, grungier sound than the studio version in the OMV… the OMV is a fun video with DPA/TW playing and dancing around on a set that has a huge number of hidden easter eggs that long time followers will spot easily… for me, that brings back some memories of the fun videos we used to see on MTV back when it actually was "music videos all the time"… yes, i saw MTV's first broadcast when they officially came on the air 😹

i'm quite proud and happy for DPA/TW for making these milestone appearances at two MTV functions, the MIAW in CDMX (back in Aug 2023) and the VMAs in NY&NJ (Extended Stage) (in Sep 2023)… three additional milestones are 1) they are the first Mexican band to perform at the VMAs, and 2) they were invited to perform, and 3) they were not nominated for anything… that speaks volumes in a great and huge way! now add to that they have been doing this for 10 years and, right now, most of that was while independent… i would also be remiss if i didn't mention that this performance was real unlike the other groups that also performed here… DPA/TW did both of their songs fully live and in one take while the others lip synced and took all three takes of which the ""best"" was selected for airplay… DPA/TW were also the only ones to be announced on the main stage when it was time to present their performance…

yes, they have been playing longer than 10 years but that includes while they were learning and starting to become proficient at their art and individual instruments… in a vlog they made a couple of years ago, Pau mentions that she has been drumming for 13 years… she was 19 at that time… that was 2 years ago… it is hard to believe, but quite obvious once you have watched them a few times, that they have been playing their instruments for 15 years and playing together as a band for 10 years… we won't even mention how this all started because of the game Rock Band 😹
    TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

  12. I agree – their sound is an interesting mixture of genres. I think that's what makes them just "rock", because its hard to find a pocket to fit them in.

  13. @ZNL884 says:

"More" was co-written with producers / song writers Anton Delost and Niko Rubio. They wanted to explore new sounds and ways of writing and producing. They are intelligent and looking to learn and try new things.

  14. Thank you for continuing with The Warning. TWA loves that content creators are discovering the most exciting band today. A more than capable band currently and still with a great future before reaching its peak.

  15. As people said anything from Teatro Metropolitan or maybe jump back in time to the official video for XXI Century Blood, an award winning video when they were still kids, this set the standard and paved the way for they common warning lyrics of modern culture. Also you've not seen anything where Pau takes on lead vocals, like Black Holes, Dust to Dust, Narsissista or shares lead vocals where Pau and Dany switch between lead, like Disciple, Sinister Smiles and Survive.

  16. @krash66 says:

Hey guys! Welcome to the rabbit hole! I am a 57 yo rocker since birth and these amazing sisters have given me new found hope in the future of rock! I have seen them 5 times in less than 2 years (even flew to Mexico to see them) and they blow me away every time! As you said, they are very charismatic. Each has their own stage presence, Ale with her Elvis lip curl, Dany with her eyebrow raise, Pau with her "death stare". LOL They OWN every stage they get on. I feel sorry for any band that has to follow them on stage. Future Legends!

  17. They really are a great rock band that pulls from so many different influences. Old rock. 90s rock. Grunge. Metal. Punk. Alternative. K-Pop. And take all those influences and mix them into a new sound that is uniquely their own. Yeah, I love the groove in this one.
This song to me is Muse meets No Doubt.

They are fantastic live. There is enough charisma and energy in the three of them to engage with a crowd of any size. I have seen them with 200 and with 8000. Just amazing. Their harmonies are often used as a fourth instrument. Reminds me of BeeGees and the Andrews Sisters how well they sing together.

  18. 🔥⚡🤘You can do any song from the teatro metropolitan show, it will blow your mind 🤯🤘⚡🔥

  19. @RandyTWA says:

Close your eyes and pick any track from the Teatro Metropolitan performance…there are no bad ones!

  20. Just wait until you see the other songs…
But from their performance “Live at Teatro Metropólitan CDMX" such as:
"Disciple", "Animosity", "Z", "Queen Of The Murder Scene", "Dull Knives (Cut Better)", "Money", "Dust to Dust", "Choke", "Hunter", "Ugh", "Narcisista" (in Spanish), "Martirio" (in Spanish), "Error",", "Survive", “Enter Sandman” (own version), "When I'm Alone", "23", "Kool Aid Kids", "Amour", "Revenant" (acoustic)…
It will leave you speechless with such musical quality, with such good hard rock that corresponds to the 3rd. album released by TW called "Error" and also something from their previous album that is a gem, a masterpiece, its tremendous concept album called
    "Queen Of The Murder Scene"
and of course its live version is also better.
The details of all this will be shown to you as the rest of the TWArmy tells you in more detail.
For now I'm subscribing to your channel because I hope to see many reactions from you to my favorite band of all time.
Thanks and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽
    🤘😁✌️

  21. What a mess,do this again they deserve a proper reaction!

  22. @mechtime says:

Try more "The Warning"! As many suggest the live performances from the two really well recorded and mixed concerts: (i) 2022 at Teatro Metropolitan and (ii) 2018 Lunario CDMX

    (0) Live debut of "Sick" (it is indeed, sick):

Audience recording, but heck, this song is so awesome I had to put it here (until a good recording and mix come out). Hendrix spirit infused. Can follow up with the other simultaneous reveal of HYCAD (Hell You Called a Dream) from this concert:

    (1) "Disciple" live 2022:

The sisters trade off on lead vocal (including drummer, Pau) and harmonies. Bass intro.

    DONE! (2) "Evolve":

Real banger, filmed on 16 iPhones and a drone. The Scream.

    (3) "Dust to Dust" live 2022:

Opening to concept album "Queen of the Murder Scene" featuring the drummer Pau as the lead vocalist. Bass intro.

    (4) Live, interpretive Cover of "Enter Sandman" for the "The Metallica Blacklist" album.

    .

    (5) "Martirio", live 2022:

Spanish language power ballad about people who "live in their own martyrdom instead of picking themselves up and moving on in life.

    DONE! (6) "More" live VMAs:

    Funky grunge pop.

    (7) "Ugh" live, 2022:

A personal fav. Another bass intro by Ale.

    (8) 2022 live, "Queen of the Murder Scene":

    2018
Climax of "Queen of the Murder Scene" album. Super tight this performance. The stops are so tight, they punch you.

    (9) "Animosity" (Live, 2022):

    Fun, up-tempo, half-time chorus. Catchy.

    (10) Live, "Money", 2022:

    (11) "Error":

"Human nature in question/Flawed and broken in silence/It’s never the intention
    just progress"

    (12) "Choke", live 2022:

Slower paced, rock-heavy riff about drowning in one's emotions

    (13) "Z" (Live 2022):

Punk rock Id sneaking in a bit.

Older things (but awesome – they've been playing for 10 years, since the bassist was 9):

    (14) 2020 live performance of "Dull Knives":

In "the cave" that is their home studio for years. Everything rocks about this song from the driving bass to the grunge guitar to the drums double kick slamming at the end.

    (15) 2020 live performance of "P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C.":

Punk influences more obvious here (cross some grunge cheerleader chants). And definitely the best song to learn how to spell this word for us dyslexics.

    (16) 2017 cover of Mötley Crüe's "Kick Start My Heart":

Fun, fun, fun. Too short. They were rehearsing for a gig and recorded it.

    (17) 2015 Cover of Foo Fighters "The Pretender":

    (18) 2014 cover of Metallica's "Enter Sandman" (23M views):

What launched them on YouTube and got patreons allowing them to record independently two albums before Lava Records signed them last year.

    (19) Spanish language song, Narcisista:

Giving the finger (in Spanish) to Spanish music critics who called them culture traitors (malinchista) for singing in English for a world audience. Pau the drummer sings this one with a lot of passion.

    (20) Cover of Metallica's "Atlas Rise":

2017, so they were still really young and you can see how much better the became since the "Enter Sandman" cover three years before.

    (21) "XXI CENTURY BLOOD":

Official and award-winning video of the title song from their 2017 album.

  23. My friends "Atlas Rise" Metallica cover LIVE in Whisky a go go plis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  24. The Warning The Best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  25. OK The video is speeding up and slowing down randomly. Annoying. I'm glad I already know this video but I didn't see anyone mention the uneven speed. Other than that, great.

  26. Greatv reaction to these lovely independent female musicians!!! AMAZING

  27. This is also there most commercially friendly song , all though a great performance it’s not a great representation of the bands style and music

  28. They are all 3 sisters and are not metal , they are a rock band , a rock trio , Pau does scream but it is not screamo or harsh vocals , it’s literally a scream , a good one but it’s just a scream . They are actually very good singers and do beautiful harmonies including 3 part harmonies .

  29. @gman125 says:

TWA shows up and we support those that support them. Appreciate the follow up here!

  30. Its okay to mash, but use bloody good ingredients. This dish is five star michelin. Can't wait for desert

  31. Everyone we apologize for the mic issues me being too loud and OGL not being loud enough. I have Really enjoyed this new program, and I think it will be better than any of the ones prior to this. But I just learned a valuable lesson and how to adjust the sound. equally. So I apologize. That won't happen again. Thank you so much. We love this community/army.

  32. Nice reaction and comment. I had a hard time listening 'cause Schmitt mic was too low and Danny's too high.
