Welcome to this special edition of The Pace Report. January 13-16, 2023 the first annual 2023 NYC Jazz Piano Festival took place at Klavierhaus in New York City. Curated by Jim Luce, the NYC Jazz Piano Festival took place over four days with 27 solo and duo performances with international jazz pianists. Musicians ranging from Arcoiris Sandoval, Uri Crane, Marc Cary, Arturo O’Farrill, Rachel Z, Laszo Gardony, and Orrin Evans.
The Pace Report covered the last night of the 1st annual 2023 NYC Jazz Piano Festival featuring interviews and performances with Benito Gonzalez, Aaron Parks, Edsel Gomez and Clifton Anderson, and Ethan Iverson. I also sat down Jim Luce, the Executive Director of the festival.
