Sinulog is the mother of all festivals in the Philippines, celebrating Santo Nino, the statue of baby Jesus given by Magellan to Queen Juana and king Carlos in 1521. It signifies the birth of Christianity in the Philippines and a transition away from pagan rituals

For each Filipino the history and the celebration of the Sinulog, a dance festival is their most historical, religious, and spiritual event and they believe in the miracles of the Santo Nino.

The first miracle happened at the altar of Queen Juana, back in 1521, when, she was praying to Santo Nino because there was sickness all over the land. One man lying sick on the floor rose up and started dancing, one step forward and two steps backward, which became known as the Santo Nino prayer dance

The Santo Nino prayer dance has become a tradition since 1521, and the reverence and the significance of the Sinulog festival celebration is very important to each and every Filipino, throughout the world, but more particularly in Cebu, Philippines, where it all began

This song is dedicated to Santo Nino and the Filipino people and the sharing of their spirituality with other nationalities in the world, about their history and identity as a people.
