Last month, the biggest date in the rock and metal calendar took place as over 80,000 people descended on the hallowed grounds of Donington Park, Leicestershire for the 16th annual Download Festival and Guitar Interactive Magazine was on-site to document some of the highlights of the event.

Still can't believe they weren't higher on the bill…
I can't wait to hear what they can come up with next – the past two albums have been just perfect! And they definitely deserve a break from the insane touring schedule of the past couple of years. But damn, will I be missing their live shows! Still hoping they'll pull some one off dates as they've done before.
