Widows.de is a non-commercial audiovisual collective based in Berlin, bringing the work of FLINT* artists together in a common ground. More than a platform for livestream broadcasts of DJ sets and performances, Widows.de highlights emerging audiovisual creators, producing experimental graphic and video content.
DJs of marginalized identities are frequent targets of discrimination in the music and nightlife industry in Germany, including having their credentials or expertise questioned. Widows.de responds to these challenges by cultivating an audience for FLINT* communities. Widows.de is currently expanding its programming, distinguishing itself from other DJ-oriented platforms in Germany not only by centering FLINT* creators, but also by facilitating projects at the intersection of music, visual arts and digital culture. Building a space of mutual support for FLINT* creatives and their causes, Widows believes that collaboration is our biggest weapon.
