Diwali, otherwise known as Deepavali, is one of the largest celebrations of the Hindu, Sikh, and Jain communities and highly regarded by the Indian diaspora worldwide. Diwali is the celebration of light, of victory, and of prosperity – the Indian community of Fairfield warmly invited everyone for a delicious traditional meal and sweets, songs and dances and a skit performed by the children reflecting on the spiritual and practical message of this holiday. The main purpose of this special evening is to extend the universal message of love and light to all.
