Dude, you should check out Zoloft. Talk about a theme holding through, lyrically, musically, emotionally. Been playing music off and on for over 30 years and Ween's "Zoloft" still shakes me to my core froma song writing perspective every time I hear it.

Pretty much every live Ween song has an amazing solo, even if it didn't in the original (often 4-track) recording.
Just start from the beginning, the very beginning. Educate yourself in Ween. Decide what you like and what you don't and never look back. Your reaction was both priceless and heartwarming to a long time Ween fan.
