FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS: Eric Claptons Crossroad Festival Highlights 2023

Festivals and gigs. A listings calendar, plus previews, news, reviews, and photos

We were fortunate to attend both days of Eric Clapton’s 2023 Crossroad Festival. We enjoyed the intimate performances in the Guitar Village and the Main Stage. The lineup was tremendous in all respects. It included classic rock Stars that have been performing for over fifty years, to newcomers that are already making a mark in the scene. We had rock, blues, bluegrass, pop soul and more. The performers included Joe Bonamassa, James Bullard, Eric Clapton, Gary Clark Jr., Judith Hill, Sheryl Crow, Jerry Douglas, Jakob Dylan, Andy Fairweather Low, Samantha Fish, Eric Gales, Ben Haggard, H.E.R., Sierra Hull, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Marcus King. The Bros. Landreth, Sonny Landreth, Albert Lee, Los Lobos, Taj Mahal, Pedro Martins, John Mayer Trio, John McLaughlin, Del McCoury Band, Roger McGuinn, Keb’ Mo’, Ariel Posen, Robert Randolph, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Santana, Gustavo Santaolalla, Daniel Santiago, Stephen Stills, Molly Tuttle, Jimmie Vaughan, Bradley Walker, The War on Drugs, and ZZ Top.

A big compliment needs to go out to the organizers and the roadies that kept the pace with all these artists keeping the time change between acts down to a minimum. Our first night started in the nosebleed section, and we were upgraded to VIP seats in the lower bowl. The second night we had our best seats!

I hope you enjoy the music, and PLEASE PLEAS PLEASE consider participating in Turn up for Recovery. TUFR.ORG

  14. Russ Jones says:

Was this whole thing recorded by someone in the audience with some kind of a recording device? Aside from being theft, the sound quality makes it worthless. What a waste.
