As a guitarist I first copied Santana version and when I know about the original, I picked Peter Green's playing. My honest opinion.. Carlos did his homework on Peter Green style, especially minor phrasing.Carlos Santana " Peter Green's Supernatural gave me a musical direction"

I’ve had the privilege of seeing and listening to Peter Green, who wrote this song, amazingly supporting John Mayall, in Halifax Victoria Theatre, England, Carlos Santana at the Manchester Apollo and Eric Clapton at the Manchester Arena, where I also saw BB King on the same bill as Gary Moore, that’s some guitar talent !
I used to run into Carlos, and his son at a bleakest place in Sausalito!
