Krankenhaus returns again, this time for our 5th birthday, come help us celebrate 🎉

The Krankenhaus Festival, a cherished micro-festival curated by the BAFTA-winning and Mercury Prize-nominated band Sea Power, is set to return for its fifth edition from 22nd to 24th August 2025.

Hosted at the historic Muncaster Castle near Ravenglass in Cumbria, the festival offers a unique blend of music, talks, and walks amidst the stunning landscapes of the western Lake District.

• Intimate Experience: With a limited capacity of 1,400 attendees, Krankenhaus ensures an intimate and immersive festival atmosphere.
• Diverse Programming: Attendees can anticipate a thoughtfully curated lineup featuring musical performances, engaging talks, and guided walks, all designed to harmonize with the natural beauty of the surroundings.
• No Schedule Clashes: The festival prides itself on a schedule that allows attendees to enjoy all performances without the worry of overlapping events.
• Dog-Friendly Environment: Festival-goers are welcome to bring their canine companions, adding to the inclusive and friendly atmosphere.

Ticket Information:

Tickets for the 2025 edition are slated to go on sale in early January. Patrons from the 2024 festival will receive priority access starting at 10 am on 9th January, followed by previous attendees at 10 am on 10th January. General ticket sales will commence thereafter.

Muncaster Castle, a historic site overlooking the River Esk, provides festival-goers with access to its extensive grounds, gardens, and attractions, including the Hawk and Owl Centre. The location offers easy access to both coastal and mountainous regions of the Lake District, enhancing the festival’s appeal to nature enthusiasts.
