‘Second Lives’ is the second album from Glasgow drummer and composer Graham Costello and his ensemble, STRATA after the success of the critically-acclaimed 2019 debut album Obelisk.

Initially, I wrote an entirely different album to this. But then lockdown hit, the recording session moved and moved and before I knew it I was in an entirely
different space – musically and in life. More introspective and inward, and as a result of that I eventually wrote another new album that encapsulated more of that moment…so that’s what Second Lives turned out to be.It’s a far more personal album, exploring many themes: one in particular being the process of growing as a human being. For me, it’s written to be listened to from start to end, but by all means listen however you like. And to whoever does listen, I hope you enjoy it and I’d love to hear your thoughts on it. Or not. Either way, the music is there to be shared with everyone now. Take care x
