A bold, innovative and multi-layered thing of wonder, Graham Costello's STRATA combine polyrhythms, collective groove and jazz improvisation with the raw energy and grit of post-rock and the ethereal and hypnotic qualities of minimalism. With complex, dynamic and utterly absorbing sounds, they are at the cutting edge of the new golden generation of Scottish jazz.
On Friday 18 October, Graham Costello presents a special show playing new music in quartet format at The Jazz Bar. Scottish Queen of decks, Rebecca Vasmant, keeps the vibe going all night spinning jazz and house records. Unmissable!
