Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie – great friends, incredible musicians and founding fathers of bebop. In this exclusive gig for EJBF, two central figures of the Scottish jazz scene, Colin Steele (trumpet) and Martin Kershaw (saxophone), offer a rare chance to hear the music of two of jazz’s great trailblazers.

Joined by Pete Johnstone (piano), Brian Shiels (bass) and Max Popp (drums), Steele and Kershaw bring exhilarating playing, fast-paced rhythms and passionate solos as they pay tribute to two indisputable musical geniuses.
