Great set! Enjoyed the “heavy strings”!
Fantastic set. It’s been too long since I’ve seen them live.
Bearing in mind that Jeremy was ill and missed the gig, they done really well, not their best set but as Mark said, no bass no pop concert ( that’s a term I haven’t heard for a bit)
fantastic finish last night, field was like a freezer, but they kept us nice and warm. not seen them since ’88, when i used to do the lighting for a club in bath, which they frequented regularly in those early days! mellowed but in a very nice way since those punky aggresive early sets! well done keep it up, geres to the next 30 years!
Unfortunately we massively missed the grunt and earthiness of when we’ve seen them previously. Felt myself looking for the cucumber sandwiches and tea this time around. Hey ho, roll on… 🙂
Recognise the chairs
I know Jeremy was I’ll, and they won’t play a full set without him, then give the headline slot to somebody else, Friday night needs a rocking headliner, and the levs didn’t provide, don’t get me wrong I love the levs, and there set was well rehearsed, but it wasn’t a headline set, and I felt very disappointed 😞
I felt so let down. I know this was the last album, but it’s a festival, not a folk club. Hugely let down. No energy at all 😔
I quite liked them,but expected a lot more energy from them after what I’d heard of them previously.
Brilliant,haven’t seen them for twenty five years..in Cardigan and Cardiff ..awesome set
Yes …I last saw them about 7 years ago , then 10 years ago . I have always loved them . And this time , although a little different and more mellow , they were stunning .
I was so looking forward to seeing Levellers again and was in need of a dance given the weather. Pretty gutted with the acoustic style set as a Friday headliner. Excellent music, just not the set I was hoping for.
Fabulous set.
No…..Soulless in my opinion. Feel this set was ‘dumbed down’ for an ageing audience. Love the Levellers since “Weapon called the word” and have been to this festival every year since 2000, so feel entitled to air my view

Matt it was a great set and I was definitely dancing around. Yours and Simon’s face’s when Mark forgot the lyrics had me giggling!! 😉😂. Hope Jeremy is on the mend and thank you to you all xx

I loved every moment and was a highlight of a great weekend 😘

Might have helped if we could have heard the lyrics.
Not having read the programme properly I was unprepared for the acoustic set and was disappointed when the big bang didn’t happen. However since then I have been unable to stop singing the beautiful string arrangements in my head. It was at times heartbreakingly lovely. Truly an inspired addition to the band.
