Latest Festival Flyer update from Cropredy
[ad_1]
Having spoken to the landowners for the festival-run fields normally operated by Fairport's Cropredy Convention, they have asked us to remind everyone that these fields will be out of bounds to walkers and campers during the weekend of 13-16 August 2020. The public rights of way will of course be open but straying from these signed footpaths and bridleways will be considered trespassing.
Whist there will undoubtedly be a temptation to visit these fields, there will be livestock grazing throughout and we would ask you to please respect the landowners' wishes.
Again, the best thing you can do to help the villages is to stay away for the time being. As we have seen in Leicester, this virus is still prevalent and we should all do the best we can to curb the spread.
Thank you.

Sensible advice. Cropredy’s a lovely village, but personally I think that visiting over the festival weekend when there is no Festival on is a pointless exercise – better to wait until 2021 when we can all meet up again without having to worry about being near others and risking spreading the virus. The time will pass! Till then, stay safe everyone, see you next year. x
I have total respect for the landowners, villagers and all involved in this amazing festival. I will be staying at home. I love this festival and village far too much to endanger anyone with my selfishness. Cropredy 2020 is in my garden! 👍😀
It strikes me that it’s a simple choice, would you rather be bored/broke/unemployed or dead. The virus has not been beaten yet so stay at home
On the plus side, the photo above has most of us in it!
I’ve zoomed in and I can see myself…. readily identifiable as I’m wearing a Cropredy tee shirt, sunglasses, flower circlets (all around my hat), and holding a pint of Wadworth’s. 😎
Very true. If anyone told you they’d never missed a year, not even 2020, no-one will be the least bit impressed. Quite the opposite in fact…
Who would be so selfishly stupid to drive hundreds of miles to gaze and sigh at an empty field full of cows?
I will not go near good ol’ England at all. See you later!
I look forward to the Festival in my Garden…Especially as we had a Dry Run this last wknd for “Glastdunnbury ” & the Widescreen in the Camper Awning worked a treat &looked abit like the Pyramid Stage 😅 😅 😅 Xxx
Hear, hear!!
It’s really sad that they need to even put out this statement!
The seating arrangement is very tidy!
Total respect see you in 2021 Stay safe xx

Brendan Stephen important news
Dear old Croppers- Heather Bridgeman Flic Waters Rebecca Clements Hazel Manning – see you next year.
I remember when there were just 3 fields 🙂
Stay safe Cropredy
Well said. Please stay away, folks.
We are having our own Cropredy festival in my garden with the friends we go with every year along with a big screen, curries and other fine dining + Beer 🍺
The nearest I’ll get this year is maybe having a Cropredy photo as my laptop background, whilst watching on Youtube sat in my camping chair with a glass of cider in my hand.
Either in the garden or in my lounge, depending on the weather.
Here’s hoping people keep Cropedy village safe and stay away 🙏
It’s enough!! Can pinpoint my spot-ish! 2021 roll on!!!
